SE softball inches closer to GAC playoffs

A three-game sweep of visiting Arkansas- Monticello solidified the Southeastern Savage Storm positioning in quest of reaching the Great American Conference tournament with seven games remaining. With the wins, Coach McKenzie Sher’s squad improved to 24-21 overall and 15-11 in league play.

There was plenty of offensive production in Southeastern’s Great American Conference baseball series with Southwestern at home over the weekend as the Savage Storm tallied 33 runs in three games. Despite the scoring numbers, Coach Alan Trayler’s squad only managed one win in the series.

Coach Rickey Teafatiller’s Calera Bulldogs remained red hot last week, posting four straight victories, including a 7-3 triumph over Durant, to run their winning streak to eight.
