The Durant boys captured the team championship while the Lady Lions took second in the Annual Durant Invitational Track Meet last week. In the boys’ division, the Lions edged perennial powerhouse Plainview for the crown while the Durant girls ended up behind only Kingston in the team standings.

Lions bounce back for vital district road win

The Durant Lions snapped a 10-game skid with a big district victory at rival McAlester while finishing last week with a 2-2 record against a rugged slate. After a 4-0 loss to McAlester the bounce back came in a 12-5 triumph over the Buffaloes.

Silo baseball sweeps Kingston for district crown

Perennial power Silo claimed another baseball championship trophy for the case as they swept past Kingston last week to capture the District 3A-5 title. The Rebels romped to a 10-0 run rule win in the series opener before having to hold off the Redskins in a 2-1 game two thriller.

The Southeastern Savage Storm baseball team clinched a return to the Great American Conference postseason tournament with a series win on the road at Southern Arkansas over the weekend.
