Lyday, Couch ink college football offers pacts

Durant football senior stalwarts Braylen Lyday and Clay Couch recently signed to continue their careers at the collegiate level after serving as multiyear starters for the Lions in many different areas.

Silo and Calera each moved on in the state baseball playoffs while Caddo’s season came to an end just short of the state tournament. Making its Class 3A postseason debut, Silo rode stellar pitching to three straight shutouts while claiming the regional championship.

Leave it to a senior to provide the walk off heroics against an arch rival on Senior Day. Cameron Cromer did just that on Saturday for Southeastern as his final hit for the Savage Storm was a seventh inning solo home run over the right field wall that gave the hosts a 3-2 win over East Central.
