Durant trio signs football scholarship offers

Three members of the 2023 Durant Lion football team signed college scholarships on National Signing Day last week to continue their careers at the next level.

SE baseball posts second weekend sweep

For the second weekend in a row it wasn’t always pretty but the Southeastern baseball team was able to break out the brooms for a second straight series sweep of a northern opponent.

Durant drops District 5A-4 contests

A couple of close calls came up short for the Durant basketball teams during a rough week in the stretch run of District 5A-4 action. The Lady Lions looked like they might have a win sewn up against Holland Hall but a buzzer-beating three pointer provided the dagger in a 50-49 loss.

Calera, Silo garner splits in regular season finale

Calera and Silo each split regular season finale matchups on Monday night heading into the playoffs which begin for each this weekend. The Lady Bulldogs posted a 56-48 win against Lone Grove while the boys dropped a 57-31 verdict.

Durant wrestlers battle in tough Glenpool tourney

Senior Addison Polk captured runner-up honors and Durant wrestlers had several individuals with multiple wins in the rugged Glenpool Invitational last weekend. While Polk was the top individual finisher, the Lions added a few other placers with solid showings.

SE baseball sweeps Colorado Springs opener

Southeastern powered past University of Colorado-Colorado Springs in the first game last week before utilizing timely hitting to complete a season- opening baseball sweep at Mike Metheny Field.

Green sets win milestone in Savage Storm wins

Caddo sizzles nets in sweep of Calera

CADDO – A rematch of a thrilling Bryan County Tournament championship game turned into a Caddo rout Monday night as the Lady Bruins avenged that tournament defeat in a 51-25 victory over Calera for the conference regular season crown.
