Three Durant women accept leadership roles in GFWC Oklahoma

The General Federation of Women’s Clubs of Oklahoma announced their offi cer team for the 2024-2026 Administration with three Durant women slated for state offices. The officers were installed at the Oklahoma State Convention held over the weekend on the USAO campus in Chickasha.

The Integration Station Restaurant opens for business

I have had the distinct pleasure of having been a board member of People First Industries (PFI) of Bryan County since 1992. Thirty-two years may sound like a long time, but there are three board members who have served even longer than I have.

Kicking up your heels to step on sexual abuse

Participants in the Choctaw Nation Family Violence Prevention Program kicked up their heels to step on sexual abuse during the 13th annual Kick up Your Heels walk Saturday morning at the Choctaw amphitheater located at the tribe’s headquarters.
Southeastern Department of Chemistry, Computer, and Physical Sciences had an eclipse viewing event on Monday in front of the Student Union. There was a telescope with solar filter to allow viewers to see the surface of the sun in detail plus a second telescope that sent the image to a television screen in real time.
