Returning home turned out to be just what the doctor ordered for the Southeastern women’s basketball team as they notched their first two victories of the season with impressive performances last week at Bloomer Sullivan Arena.

Caddo football season ends at Laverne

Tough field position all night for Caddo and monster plays in the passing game propelled Laverne to a 48-0 Class B1 second round playoff victory over the Bruins. The loss was the second year in a row that the Bruin season came to an end after the long 322-mile trek to northwest Oklahoma.

The Durant Asteroids soccer team ended its season recently with a 6-1 win against the Denison Dynamites. The team is part of the Texoma Soccer Association and is the only Durant team in its age bracket, under 14 the team is made up of athletes from five schools in Bryan County.

Rock Creek explodes past Achille for sweep

Rock Creek exploded for 75 points in each contest and rolled to a county basketball sweep of Achille last week at home. The Lady Mustangs got off to a blazing start in cruising toward a 75-16 triumph in the opener as the Rock Creek boys followed with a 75-23 decision as both remained unbeaten.

Southeastern stops East Central in thriller

Narrow decisions the previous two weeks had not turned out well for the Southeastern Savage Storm and Saturday’s football season finale with East Central at Paul Laird Field seemed headed in the same direction.

Southeastern Flight Team places fourth at Region IV SAFECON

RUSTON, La. – The Southeastern Flight Team competed in the National Intercollegiate Flying Association’s Region IV SAFECON earlier in October at Louisiana Tech University.
