Sager claims individual title at Madill Cat Run

Avery Sager took the individual championship and led the Durant Lady Lions cross country team to a third place team finish in the Annual Madill Cat Run on Saturday. Sager blew through the 3,200-meter course in a personal best time of 11 minutes, 54.

Calera drops Silo, Rock Creek softball verdicts

Silo scored at least once in all but one inning Friday to cruise past Calera, 8-3, in area softball action. The Lady Rebels cashed in a solid performance in the pitching circle from Brylee Smothers while notching their 11th win of the young season.

Bruins to open things up in gridiron opener
