A long road trip and facing the state’s top-ranked team did not bode well for the Caddo Bruins Friday night as they dropped a 53-6 verdict to Laverne in the quarterfinals of the Class B1 state football playoffs.

Rock Creek took early leads and gradually pulled away in both contests to sweep Achille in Bryan County basketball action last week. The Lady Mustangs posted a 42-28 win in the opener with the Mustangs following up with a 41-32 decision for their initial victory.

Storm fall to East Central in gridiron finale

Southeastern yielded just 219 yards of total offense to East Central in the season finale but couldn’t muster enough offense to overcome two turnovers and a pair of Tiger big plays in a 20-13 road defeat.

CADDO – The Caddo Bruins scored on all six first half possessions and added an interception return touchdown to blow past visiting Foyil, 47-0, in the opening round of the Class B Division 1 state playoffs last week.

Savage Storm men get healthy with 125-77 romp

After a couple of tough road matchups in Minnesota to start the year, the Southeastern Savage Storm needed a home game. And Dallas Christian College was just what the doctor ordered for the young guns as they romped to a 125-77 triumph last Saturday inside Bloomer Sullivan Arena.
