As the weather cools down and kids go back to school, a certain group of people begin to focus obsessively on bow hunting. The small group I hunt with literally counts down the days until the October 1st opener, a date that is revered almost like a child on Christmas morning.

Savage Storm hosts OBU looking for first win

After finding the road unfriendly last week in a loss at Henderson State, the Southeastern Savage Storm football team returns home Saturday night against in-state rival Oklahoma Baptist. Both the Savage Storm and Bison will be in search of their first victory of the year in that 6 p.m.

Lady Lions close tourney with two victories

The Durant Lady Lions opened last week with a victory and closed with two wins culminate a 3-3 week in softball action. In the opener, the Lady Lions smacked McAlester, 14-2, and then downed Comanche, 9-5, before doubling up Idabel by a 6-3 count.
