ADA - In a game in which both teams struggled to sustain offensive drives much of the contest, Ada came up with a pair of big plays in the passing game that proved decisive as the Cougars held off visiting Durant, 20-13, in the season opener last week.

DHS girls cross country claims Madill title

Returning to the Annual Madill Cross Country Meet for the first time since 2018, Durant cruised to the girls team championship while the high school boys claimed fourth in the final standings.

Caddo blasts Thackerville in Wigington debut

The Jeff Wigington head coaching era began in style last week as Caddo blasted its way to a mercy rule 52-6 victory on the road at Thackerville. In the opening win, the Bruins took command with their rushing game and cruised from there with 339 of their 353 yards coming on the ground.

Sager breaks school record in Sherman Meet

Sophomore Avery Sager broke her own school record on the way to a second-place individual finish in the TCS Cross Country Meet Saturday at Pecan Grove Park in Sherman. Sager crossed the finish line with a time of 19 minutes, 47.

Durant ready for Ada challenge on Friday

A year ago the Durant Lions felt like they should have beaten rival Ada in a narrow 14-7 loss in a blackout delayed contest at Paul Laird Field. The momentum of that game helped spur the Cougars to an 11-2 record and the Class 4A state semifinals.
