Commencement for Southeastern Oklahoma State University summer graduates of master’s degrees was last Friday evening and baccalaureate degrees were presented Saturday morning at Bloomer Sullivan Arena.

Choctaw Cultural Center celebrates fourth anniversary

The Choctaw Cultural Center celebrated its 4th anniversary last Saturday with a day of activities in history, art and tradition. The Center will offered chocolate-making workshops, an art market with original works by Choctaw artists, exhibit tours, and stickball and social dancing demonstrations.

Each school term, Durant Kiwanis Club presents to a senior from Durant High School and to a senior from one of the Bryan County high schools and private senior schools a $1,000 scholarship. Competition is strong, for candidates have proven their discipline, academic prowess, and community service.
