Silo, Calera and Colbert each captured Class 2A baseball regional championships at home last week to advance to the state tournament this weekend in the Oklahoma City area.

Savage Storm rebound to win at Southern Naz

Southeastern forced four turnovers and racked up a season-high 461 yards but had to hold on through a host of special team miscues for a 27-21 road win over Southern Nazarene on Saturday. The Savage Storm, who leveled their record at 2-2, will be back on the road this week at Arkansas Tech.

Softball playoff season began last week with solid district and regional tournament triumphs for both Caddo and Calera. Caddo, ranked second in Class A, opened its quest for a fifth straight state crown with a dominant district sweep of Clayton/Moyers, 18-0 and 18-4.
